Role Overview

We are seeking a Night Shift Quality Supervisor to oversee and enhance quality control processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring product quality, implementing process improvements, and maintaining compliance with industry standards (SQF/ISO). The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing setting, and the ability to train and guide a team of quality control technicians. This position is less about people management and more about supervising processes, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining quality consistency. This is a full-time, onsite position with a 12-hour rotating night shift schedule (7p–7a). Strong preference for bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish or Portuguese.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the night shift quality control operations of the thermoforming manufacturing production facility.
  • Conduct visual inspections and measurements to ensure product quality meets required standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
  • Implement and manage the corrective action process when quality issues arise.
  • Train and oversee the quality control team, ensuring performance effectiveness.
  • Train new packers on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering to optimize quality processes.
  • Communicate with the Quality Manager on shift performance, quality control issues, and efficiency improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes.
  • Ensure compliance with SQF/ISO requirements and company safety policies.


Qualifications

  • Strong preference for bilingual candidates, especially Spanish or Portuguese.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 7+ years experience in a quality control role in a manufacturing production facility.
  • 5+ years experience as a supervisor or lead in a quality control role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and resolve quality issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating night shift schedule.
  • Experience in document management, customer complaints, and corrective actions is preferred.
