Responsibilities: Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and drilling plastic components., Set up and operate CNC machines to machine thermoplastics and composite materials with tight tolerances of .001” - .005”., Read and interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, and GD&T specifications specific to plastic manufacturing., Make necessary programming adjustments using G & M codes., Ensure minimal material waste and cycle time optimization while machining plastic components., Utilize Parlec Tool-Setters, Renishaw probes, and other precision inspection tools., Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on CNC machines., Ensure SQF/ISO compliance and follow all safety protocols related to machining plastic materials., Collaborate with designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure production efficiency., Maintain a clean and organized workspace at the end of each shift.
Qualifications: Requires Mastercam experience., Requires Fadal and Haas experience., Prefers FANUC systems and SolidWorks experience., Prefers prior mold-making experience., 3+ years of CNC programming and machining experience (preferably in the plastics industry)., Strong ability to read, modify, and optimize CNC programs (G & M codes)., Ability to lift 50+ lbs., Experience machining plastic components for thermoforming, injection molding, or composite materials., Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply geometric tolerances., Hands-on experience with CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines., Strong understanding of plastic materials, thermal expansion, and machining best practices., Must be local and able to commute daily to Mansfield, MA., Experience with Fadal or HAAS controllers., Familiarity with Renishaw probes and Parlec Tool-Setters., Knowledge of conversational programming., Experience working with SQF/ISO standards in plastics production.
