Job Overview

The Bereavement Coordinator (MSW) is responsible to plan, implement, and maintain a bereavement program to meet the needs of families/caregivers we provide care for.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the assessment and delivery of grief counseling needs and services: Provide one-to-one, group, and ongoing follow-up services to ensure timely and appropriate care for family/caregivers.

Plans for Bereavement Program development, expansion, and refinement: Conduct annual evaluations of services to ensure continued growth and improvement.

Provides bereavement support to hospice personnel: Offer one-to-one counseling, supervise interns providing counseling, and refer personnel to community resources for coping with work-related grief.

Qualifications

Required Master's degree in Social Work: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work to qualify for the role.

Ability to work as a team member: Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive services.

Knowledge and commitment to hospice philosophy: Demonstrate a deep understanding of and dedication to the principles and practices of hospice care.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work.
  • Experience in providing grief counseling services to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to evaluate and develop bereavement programs.
