Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Management
- Manage the accounts payable function and approve AP runs.
- Perform double-sided accounting using T Accounts.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger.
- Training required in the office for 2-3 weeks or longer if necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- At least 5 years of general ledger (GL) accounting experience.
- Experience in managing accounts payable functions.
- Proficiency in general ledger skills.
- Software Skills
- Experience with Great Plains system.
- Knowledge of Vision, Microsoft Dynamics, CCH and Workday is advantageous.
Ideal Candidate
- Detail-oriented general ledger manager with at least 5 years of hands-on GL accounting experience and 2+ years of management experience.
- Background in public or private accounting, ideally someone who was a senior in public or a supervisor/manager in private industry.
- Familiarity with multiple accounting software systems, including Great Plains; knowledge of Vision, Microsoft Dynamics, CCH, or Workday is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a structured office environment and reporting directly to a CFO.
- Healthcare or nonprofit experience is a nice-to-have, but not required.
