Responsibilities: Review the VibrantCare Clinical Operations Policies & Procedures Manual annually and adhere to all policies and procedures., Complete all required Medicare compliance trainings and VibrantCare‐mandated regulatory trainings., Maintain state licensure by completing ongoing continuing education coursework as required., Evaluate, treat, and develop patient plans of care per AOTA standards., Provide medically‐necessary occupational hand therapy and document treatment and progress clearly., Collaborate with referring physicians to establish objective patient goals, treatment type, frequency, and duration., Supervise and delegate OT/hand therapy care to assistants and aides within state regulatory guidelines., Adjust each patient’s program in response to changes in clinical status., Ensure timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and reports to physicians, payers, and case managers., Participate in patient education, home‐program instruction, community talks, and in‐service trainings., Supervise student clinical interns in accordance with AOTA clinical education agreements., Communicate pertinent patient information to physicians, staff, employers, insurers, and rehabilitation specialists., Assist in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with managerial approval., Comply with safety precautions, professional ethics, and all daily treatment procedures., Assist in monthly quality assurance monitoring and center/equipment maintenance., Perform task analyses and provide job modification/energy conservation guidelines for injured workers., Custom fabricate splints and casts for complex upper‐extremity diagnoses., Travel to satellite sites as needed and perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team., Knowledge of tool design and workstation design parameters., Leadership skills to direct and supervise assistants and aides, including coaching and teaching., Strong organizational, time‐management, and planning skills., Effective clinical problem‐solving: identify/prioritize issues, develop innovative action plans, and ensure results., Excellent oral and written communication for patient and staff presentations., Computer proficiency for management reporting, billing, and payroll tasks., Frequently lift up to 50 lbs using proper biomechanical techniques., Constant walking, bending, standing, and reaching during the workday., Visual acuity (near and distant) to evaluate patients and maintain accurate records., Able to speak and hear sufficiently to give and understand directions., Push wheeled equipment throughout the facility as needed., Fine motor skills for accurate documentation, equipment handling, and custom fabrication of splints/casts., Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT or OTA program (or equivalent AOTA-approved program)., Documentation of post-professional education/training in upper‐extremity anatomy, histology, physiology, and kinesiology., Training in physical agent modalities: anatomy/physiology of modalities, chemistry/physics principles, and safety precautions., Documentation of competency in splint/cast fabrication and use of physical agent modalities per state board requirements.

Team: Reports to Center Manager The team consists of occupational therapists, physical therapists, therapy assistants (PTAs/OTAs), physicians, and administrative staff. The new hire will work closely with other clinicians to provide specialized hand therapy services.
