Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power core workflows and integrations, Own and evolve cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows to support reliability and scale, Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems via APIs and SFTP, Improve database performance and reliability (Postgres monitoring, indexing, migrations), Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, dev environments, and internal tooling, Contribute to alerting, monitoring, and on-call processes to ensure production stability, Partner with product and engineering leadership on platform architecture and technical direction

Qualifications: 5+ years of experience building production backend systems, 2+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps/SRE-focused roles, Strong proficiency in Python and Django (or equivalent backend frameworks), Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure management, Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred), Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), Experience building and maintaining integrations with third-party APIs or external systems

Interview Process: The interview process is designed to be practical and respectful of your time. It includes an initial screening conversation, a technical interview focused on real-world system design and production problem-solving, and a final discussion with engineering leadership to align on scope, ownership, and impact. Day to day: You’ll spend most of your time building and maintaining backend systems, improving cloud infrastructure, supporting integrations, and helping ensure production reliability. You’ll collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership, own projects end-to-end, and directly support systems used by real customers in production.

Team: You’ll join a small, senior engineering team in a remote-first environment and work directly with founders and core technical leadership. The team is lean and highly collaborative, with engineers owning features end-to-end and working closely with product to ship improvements quickly. This role reports directly into engineering leadership, with close day-to-day collaboration across product and operations.

Growth: This is a high-impact role at an early-stage, well-funded company where you’ll own foundational platform systems.
