Responsibilities: Client Representation: Advocate for clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and workplace harassment., Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; conduct discovery, depositions, and negotiations; represent clients in mediations and court proceedings., Legal Research & Analysis: Stay current on relevant state and federal employment laws, case precedents, and best practices to provide strategic legal advice., Case Management: Oversee and develop case strategies from inception through resolution, managing multiple matters concurrently while meeting deadlines., Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with senior partners and fellow associates; contribute to a supportive team culture by sharing insights, offering guidance to junior team members, and participating in firm-wide initiatives., Client Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with clients; explain complex legal concepts, provide updates, and advise on next steps.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with a strong background in employment law and litigation.Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active membership and good standing with the Massachusetts State Bar (or eligible for reciprocity).Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and strong drafting skills for litigation and dispute resolution documentation.Soft Skills: Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation acumen, and client relations.
