Role OverviewThis position supports a leading innovator in sustainable food packaging by overseeing overnight (7p–7a) thermoforming production operations. The supervisor guides a team of hourly associates, maintaining strict safety, quality, and compliance standards in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment. Key responsibilities include mentoring staff, optimizing workflows, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement. Through clear communication, swift problem-solving, and a focus on results, this role ensures a positive night-shift culture and consistent delivery of high-quality products.
Responsibilities• Oversee nightly (7p–7a) production operations to meet quality, efficiency, and output
targets in a thermoforming environment
• Lead, mentor, and train hourly team members, ensuring adherence to policies, SOPs,
and GMPs
• Conduct performance evaluations, address issues promptly, and maintain a positive,
inclusive team environment
• Allocate labor, materials, and equipment based on production schedules, adjusting to
minimize downtime throughout the night shift
• Monitor product quality and compliance with regulatory standards (SQF/ISO), taking
corrective action if needed
• Enforce safety protocols and proper PPE usage (ear, eye protection, hairnet, boots) in a
loud, non-climate-controlled environment
• Identify areas for improvement, implement solutions to enhance productivity and costeffectiveness, and collaborate cross-functionally
• Maintain accurate records, communicate progress and challenges to management, and
ensure deadlines are met
Qualifications• High School Diploma or GED minimum; 5+ years of operational supervisory experience
required
• Experience in food packaging, thermoforming, or a related manufacturing environment
strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success leading teams of 40+ hourly employees
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating, directing, and developing staff
on a non-traditional (night) schedule
• Familiarity with regulatory, safety, and quality/compliance standards in a food packaging
setting
• Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced
environment
• Data-driven, continuous improvement mindset, strong sense of ownership
• Excellent communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working a consistent night (7p–7a) 12-hour rotating shift and remain
committed to this schedule long-term
