Responsibilities: Partner closely with engineering to design intuitive experiences that make AI-powered animation creation accessible to everyone., Design AI-native interfaces that balance simplicity with power by hiding complexity while giving users control when they need it., Conduct user interviews and usability tests to identify product opportunities and validate design decisions., Own the full design lifecycle from concept to launch, including prototypes, design systems, and pixel-perfect execution., Drive growth through product design improvements, onboarding optimization, and conversion experiments., Shape go-to-market messaging and product visuals that resonate with creators and video teams.
Qualifications: 3+ years of product design experience., Strong ability to design intuitive interfaces for complex products., Experience designing web applications or creative tools., Strong prototyping and visual design skills., Ability to collaborate closely with engineers in a fast-moving environment.
Minimum Requirements: Proven experience working with or within a top high-growth startup or elite technology company (examples: top YC startups, Palantir, Stripe, Ramp, Notion, Figma, Scale AI, Anduril, etc.).

Day to day: Designing interfaces for AI-powered animation creation tools, Working directly with founders and engineers on product decisions, Prototyping new product experiences, Running usability tests and gathering user feedback, Improving onboarding and product conversion flows
Team: This role works directly with the founders and engineering team. Hera currently operates as a small founding team, so the designer will have significant influence over the product experience.
Growth: As a founding team member, this role offers the opportunity to shape the entire design foundation of the company. Future growth paths may include Head of Design or Design leadership roles as the team expands.
